The American Movement Hospital Association is a non-governmental professional association advancing human function within accountable healthcare delivery systems.

Mission

Advance healthcare through the systematic integration of movement, rehabilitation, exercise prescription, metabolic health, nutrition, and population health within accountable healthcare delivery systems.

AMHA works to improve outcomes, reduce cost, increase healthspan, support health equity, strengthen communities, and create measurable pathways for exercise prescription implementation across healthcare systems, employers, payers, academic institutions, and communities.

AMHA is a non-governmental professional association. AMHA does not assert CMS, governmental, hospital-accreditation, or regulatory authority. AMHA provides institutional standards, recognition pathways, licensed-operator pathways, best-practice frameworks, governance models, outcomes frameworks, and implementation science resources.
